Win
Your selection must finish first. The simplest bet on the card, and the one with the shortest odds of coming off.
Place
Your selection must finish in the placings — first, second or third in fields of eight or more, first or second in smaller fields. Shorter returns, better strike rate.
Each way
Two bets in one: half your stake on the win, half on the place. You pay twice the stake and collect on either result.
Scratchings and abandoned meetings
If a runner is scratched before the race, bets on that runner are refunded and the
remaining prices may be adjusted under deductions. If a meeting is abandoned, all bets
on affected races are refunded in full. The detail is set out in our
